AgriNB

We helped AgriNB focus their efforts regarding attracting new farmers in the region.

AgriNB, an organization that supports and promotes the agricultural industry in New Brunswick, aimed to attract potential immigrants, specifically Dutch farmers, to contribute to New Brunswick’s agricultural sector. The initiative initiated discussions with Dutch farmers at the GreenTech Expo in the Netherlands (June 13-15, 2023) with the primary goal of sparking a conversation about the prospects of emigrating to New Brunswick. This effort was prompted by the realization that many farms in New Brunswick lacked succession plans, emphasizing the crucial need for new farmers.

Identifying regions with interested populations became essential in facilitating effective succession planning for the agricultural sector. The initiative employed targeted social media marketing and general population research. After identifying promising candidates and messages, AgriNB executed both virtual and in-market outreach. The plan was successfully executed. Key attendees were identified, relevant associations were contacted, networking activities were conducted with key individuals, mission discussions were held with farmers, other organizations and associations were identified, information packages were distributed, social media ads were utilized, communication channels were established, research was conducted to identify potential immigrants and effective communication strategies, and outreach was executed virtually and in-market.

This case study highlights the importance of identifying regions with interested populations and employing targeted social media marketing and general population research to facilitate successful succession planning for the agricultural sector. It also emphasizes the significance of executing both virtual and in-market outreach to identify potential immigrants and effective communication strategies.
